New Beginnings is a non-profit organization that serves more than 300 people hot, hearty, and home-cooked meals four days a week in the greater Woonsocket area. Our mission is to feed the body, mind, and spirit of each individual person. A full stomach is just the first step to a new beginning. We offer a variety of services to support members of the community as they get back on their feet, including various classes, job assistance, and resume building. We hope to expand the services we offer to include portable laundry and showers.
New Beginnings Inc. has been in operation under this name since November 13, 2017. We are continuing and expanding upon the efforts of the Because HE Lives soup kitchen. Our mission relies on the generous support of our donors, local businesses, and volunteers from the surrounding communities.
Regardless of your background, all are welcome at our table. Our guests come from all walks of life, including but not limited to the homeless population, the working poor, veterans, mentally ill, and senior citizens.
